The one major thing that needs a reboot is the PA system. The gate agents need some serious training on how to speak clearly. I would estimate that 90 percent of the announcements are inaudible due to the gate staff speaking too fast, too loudly. It reminds me of the days when the subway systems used to allow the drivers to announce the stops.
Worst airport of all times. Hands down! Nice facility, but the worst signage and staff. On our way out we flew in and out of the same terminal and no issues... flew back to terminal 1 and were flying out of terminal 3... Good luck figuring that out! Signs everywhere, pointing nowhere. Shuttle non existent. Staff cranky and non responsive. Lucky we had several hours layover, otherwise we'd still be there. NEVER AGAIN!
This airport is by far one of the nicest and cleanest airport in downtown area the stuff a very polite they are very knowledgeable so if you ask a question they will guide you and instruct you to the right place. I have flown from this airport multiple times and my luggage where always on time and plane was always departing on time. The convenient store inside the is not bad either you can grab a quick bite if you’re waiting, and the food,drinks are very decent price and taste pretty good for the airport very secure so you don’t have to worry about any kind of hassle of problems overall a great experience flying from this airport I high recommend.
Please be careful renting a car from enterprise. I needed a ride after helping many people in the Keys near Key West after One month helping people with water food disable people took the truck back to Weston Florida at 1585 North park dr 33326. Ask for a Ride was there before they closed show them my disability card they said once we lock the Door we can’t take you home. After getting upset I walk about 4 .2 mile an collapsed to the ground left there at 6:10 my phone went dead my wife found me at 11:20. Try he talked to Corporate. Never a call back they have thousands of complaints. Never ever will use them again. Please sent this to as many MS people you know.
The airport is clean, bright, convenient and modern. There are plenty of chargers for devices and the seating areas are comfortable.
The airport is still expanding - so there’s a chance that you may encounter closed paths and construction. Each terminal is very different from the other. Terminal 1 is large and has a plethora of restaurants past security, not to mention art displays (paintings, sculptures, etc). Terminal 2, holding Delta & others, has various restaurants past security yet it’s not as “hip” as Terminal 1. It’s also smaller. The only “food” area you’ll find outside is a Starbucks on the 1st floor. Terminal 3 holds Jet Blue, American, and a few others. It’s still going through renovations and has no restaurants before security - everything is found past it, including Chili’s. Terminal 4 holds Spirit and a few small carriers, has a newly renovated area, and has restaurants before and after security. It’s your best bet to grab a bite if you’re waiting for someone. It also receives all international flights. Parking is great and centered, very easy and quick to get to terminals - $3 per hour ($36 max) on short term parking and $15 per day on long term parking. There’s always space. Airport staff is polite and all areas are usually very clean. TSA is usually fast compared to MIA. Definitely recommend leaving and arriving here.
