I'm sadden by writing this review to the doctor that I've been going to for several years. However, as much as I appreciate Dr. Joyner, working with his staff and his answering service is becoming too frustrating. They're curt, rude, unprofessional and it's really disappointing; especially when you're trying to ask questions about your health.
He is down to earth and knowledgeable
Point is, I attempted to continue to work with them through the years since I have been for a long time; but it does feel like every year does get worse. Contacting them is difficult and instead of trying to get help they act like you're a burden on them. I'm sorry Dr. Joyner, but this was the last straw for me.
DO NOT USE THIS OB GYN!! They dropped my daughters insurance after seeing her twice!. They do not answer phones, not for patients or OTHER DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS. My daughter had 2 ultrasound appointments canceled because of this. Appointments are far in-between and are canceled for no apparent reason when you show up (Oh the AC is broke, blatant lie). Wait times are ridiculous. Now we are left scrambling to find a new OBGYN. JUST STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
About his profession. My previous ob was excellent prescribed me what was necessary only and remind me on what we needed to focus on to have a successful delivery. After retiring my old obgyn referred me to his friend Dr. Joyner whom is just as good, and explains more detail. Im in my second pregancy and he always finds the fetal heart beat quick and not searching forever. He also told me a homeopathic remedy i had for vaginal itching that cleared the 1st try. Gave me tips on my diet to help with a healthy baby. He is great
DR. JOYNER TAKES ALL THE TIME YOU NEED, LISTENS AND IS UNDERSTANDING. HIS EXPLANATIONS ARE IN LAY TERMS AND VERY INFORMATIVE. HE KEEPS UP WITH THE LATEST IN FEMALE TOPICS.
Long story short, on my most recent experience, I tried to schedule an earlier appointment and was told I couldn't, that the earliest was 3 months out. THEN I tried to give them payment for an outstanding balance (that they didn't charge me correctly for on my first visit) and Naomi Jones was annoyed that I asked her questions. Her replies were condescending and she kept saying that "if I wanted to chit-chat I had to do it after payment went through". She told me that she didn't have any of my information on file (when asking for my address)... even though I've been going there for 6+ years. I asked her numerous times that I wanted to ask questions and she kept saying "the machine is going to time me out and we're going to have to start allllll over again, do you want that?" She was talking to her team members over me. I finally asked where she was located she said "where else do you expect me to be?" I replied "I don't know, I wasn't sure if you were at the office or affiliated to the answering service". She proceeded to giggle and after payment went through she put me on hold. I waited and no one came back; eventually I hung up.
Dr.Joyner is an excellent Dr. He anwered all of my questions in great detail. The staff is very helpful. They were even able to fit me in their schedule the same day when I wasn't able to come in my initial appt time. I've been going to Dr. Joyner for years and have always had a wonderful experience.
