This is a lovely regional library that has many books, great staff, and many many books, movies, cds, and even a 3D printer. Love being and studying here!
Today's solar eclipse viewing event was a total disaster...utter chaos to be exact! If I could have given this library and negative rating, that's exactly what they deserved. Staff members There was a total and complete lack of organization. Viewing glasses were given out before the scheduled time and they ran out before the event started at 1 PM. There were mobs of confused people trying to get into the building with no direction as to where to go or what to do. Those who were not lucky enough to get glasses were directed to an auditorium to see a NASA life streaming which never took place because the Internet was down and there weren't enough seats for the number of people so everyone started sitting on the floor all around the auditorium which could have potentially been a fire hazard. Everyone was clueless as to what to expect because no staff members came around to give updates. After waiting over an hour, we finally decided to go home and barely had time to catch it on TV. What an epic fail!
This library is very clean and convenient, no denying that. However, it is one of the worst places to study after 2:30p on weekdays. People are really inconsiderate talking on their cell phones in study areas (even though there are designated cell phone areas in the lobby) high school and younger kids run amok. It wouldn't be a problem if staff did a better job keeping people in check. I'm in the "Quiet Zone" and there is a lady in the cubicle in front of me talking on her phone for literally the past half hour.
This library has very nice programs for preschoolers and actually all age groups. Love the staff too, very co-operative!!
Free child care .Middle schoolers hang out here after school. It gets REALLY loud and it seems like librarians have given up on asking anybody to keep it down. It reminds me of the hallways in middle school with all the kids talking and goofing around. No whispering at the library here. If you're looking for a quiet place for your kids to do hw this isn't it.Lets not forget the parents that sit with one child as their toddlers around around.Just stay away.
