This place is the go to for fresh hot seafood. Its cooked to order and arrives popping hot from the kitchen. People are super friendly and we don't have to dress up. That's the plus.
The food was decent but the wait staff was horrible!! Our waitress was short and passive aggressive; so much so that I didn't even want to ask of basic needs like napkins, condiments or a drink refill. Our food was brought out cold....by then I dare not complain. I should have known there was a silver lining.....an 18% automatic gratuity that was not deserved. I tip good when it's earned. Our nasty waitress all of a sudden hovered over our table....it was a complete change in behavior as she inspected each bill for her undeserved 18% tip. I will not be forced to pay for nasty service!!
Disgusted!!
CFD I'm sure nothing I say will change your policies but please find better staff! Also pull up that nasty stained carpet it's gross and it stinks! Take down that wood paneling and put a window in that place for God's sake, I'm sure you can afford it!
Just went and had an amazing meal with my girlfriend. We both got the Florida Lobster and Snow Crab combo with a dozen oysters to start. Everything was cooked to perfection. The crab just slid out of the shell and my glass was never empty. Great service and food.
I love Catfish Deweys restaurant and have eaten there on may occasions over 2 decades. It's one of the only local catfish restaurants in the area that still serves home-style meals. Over the years they have had live music and all-you-can-eat nights. If you want to participate in those, call before going to see if they are having it the time you want to be there.
I find the food very tasty and the service is usually pretty good. There are some times where there are very long lines so you may want to call ahead. If you don't mind an older more rustic, or "old Florida" feel then you will probably love this place. Even if you are a little particular you should still give this place a try.
Food is very tasty but not overly seasoned. I Love the ALL YOU CAN SNOW CRAB NIGHT! Try it I'm sure you'll love it.
We love the food and most of the atmosphere but the building is getting a little old and in need of some repairs. Now, for most people that's not a HUGE reason not to at least try the restaurant. We have to choose who to take with us to the restaurant, some of our friends would not like the atmosphere but that's OK, not everyone likes everything.
If I lived in this area, I would eat here at least once a week. Their shrimp and scallops truly have no rivals. The breading, flavor and size of them belong in the Seafood Hall of Fame. Dinners are just the right price and service is fast. No one could possibly be disappointed!
