The "Brie in Puff Pastry" was delicious! Definitely will come back to try their crispy duck. My only complaint would be the oversight in keeping the outdoor seating and tables clean... my table was layered with black dust and dirt from the nearby parking lot and cars (disgusting!).
Great food every time. If you can't decide just ask chef Lauren. He'll make you dinner. Warm vibe. Excellent wine selection. Worth the trip. Easy parking. Fair pricing and mostly, very welcoming!!
Ordered the $20 meat loaf, received grey bland meatloaf with actually SPICELESS (rationed portion) of green beans, zucchini, and carrot slices. The mashed potatoes I can guarantee were made from potato flakes. I sent the dish back and wasn't approached by a manager or chef. They asked if I wanted to try ordering something else and more or less ignored us once it was apparent I didn't want anything else off the menu. Will not be returning, dismal excuse for an upper class establishment.
This place is fantastic, a bit expensive but the food is well worth it!
This is where the problem really started for me though. Our server came back and had an attitude with me when she saw I hadn't finished my meal and made a snide remark about me obviously not liking it, when the reality was that I was just full from it being a large portion. We told her the situation with the Groupon and she kept trying to persuade us to just do the 2-for-1 deal and come back the next day to use the Groupon when it expires, but we politely told her no thank you. To our surprise, she brought the check over and there was an added gratuity on a check for two people. There was absolutely no mention of this anywhere on the menu, and the server also never communicated this to us. My boyfriend and I are always generous tippers since we've both worked in food service, but this was kind of a slap in the face. To add insult to injury, there was even a space for an additional tip lol. She would've received a 30% tip had she not just given herself less than 18% without even mentioning the added gratuity charge beforehand. Don't think we'll be coming back here.
Came in with my boyfriend for an early dinner so we could use a voucher we had through Groupon. The manager (I believe) was willing to let us use it instead of having our server charge us for their Tuesday night 2-for-1 deal, which was greatly appreciated as we drove an hour to try this place out. The service afterwards was terrible though. Our server seemed rushed, even though there was only one table being attended to when we first came in. I got the beef stew, which was okay, but my boyfriend got the beef medallions with Brie cheese which were incredible. His meal was perfectly cooked and super flavorful.
