Worst breakfast ever. Cold eggs. Cold bacon. Cold toast. Small and bitter cappuccino. First and last time for me.

But my wife did enjoy her sandwich.

Nice location. On their website they advertised gluten free options, which they don't offer at all. When I asked, the answer was "we changed the menu" and "you can have a croissant" (seriously?). The service was very slow. We had to ask for water twice before we got any. Our food sat on the counter for a long time before he served it to us (the place wasn't very busy.) My poached egg was overcooked. When I ask for a spoon the waiter rolled his eyes. I don't understand how they got such a high ranking, maybe we just got the wrong waiter!

Visiting a few days, went in for breakfast yesterday at about 10am. It's a small place, and it wasn't very busy. A couple sat down at the exact same time as I did, just a few feet from me. The waitress dropped a menu on my table abruptly, then went to the couple's table, gave menus, got their drink order, etc. She returned with their coffee promptly, then passed by me about 4 times tending to other tables. She never spoke to me. I was not on my phone, I was reviewing the menu and quietly awaiting service. After nearly 10 minutes with no acknowledgement and no coffee, I left.

Quiet spot next to some nicer hotels, good mood music and friendly staff. Coffee is very good and always refilled before we finished the cup, and Village Cafe offers real sugar which is always a plus. The Migas we're excellent, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy. My work got a customized omelette which she really enjoyed, and the yogurt and fruit that came with it was fresh and creamy. Great place!

Great place for breakfast. I'm happy to have this place in my neighborhood and meet friends before the one block walk to the beach. The food is good. I'd like to suggest more menu options and A LA cart items. Good food good service, great location.
